Cut true to size — take your usual. Shoulder width runs 39 cm (15.4 in) at S up to 49 cm (19.3 in) at 3XL, stepping 2 cm per size. If you plan to layer a thick base underneath, take the next size up.

Questions

Is a fleece warm enough for winter hiking? On its own it suits cool, dry days while you are moving. In cold, wet or windy weather, wear it over a base layer and under a waterproof shell, and carry an extra warm layer for stops.

Is it waterproof? No. The face blocks wind, but it is not a rain jacket. Add a waterproof shell in rain or wet snow.
